GREENHOUSE
GAS REDUCTION:
Every month, Santa Fe drivers prevent
50 to 60 tons of fossil carbon dioxide
(CO2) from entering the atmosphere by filling
up with biofuels.

A
revolutionary triple-alternative-fuels dispenser
was officially
dedicated in Santa Fe, New Mexico by New Mexico
Governor Bill Richardson.

The
first of its kind in the nation and perhaps in the world, our twin
triple-choice biofuels pump provides biodiesel and two grades of
ethanol to drivers seeking to curb their use of petroleum fuels.
The clean, renewable fuels include Premium Biodiesel B20,
a blend of 20% biodiesel and 80% petroleum diesel, Ethanol E85,
a blend of 85% ethanol and 15% gasoline and E10 Unleaded,
a blend of 10% ethanol and 90% regular unleaded gas.
The
concept behind the triple fuel dispenser is to provide "something
for everyone," according to Charles Bensinger, Biofuels Program
Director for Renewable Energy Partners of New Mexico. The non-profit
organization developed the concept, raised the grant money for the
station and administers its operation.
"Our
intention is to clearly demonstrate that domestically produced,
renewable transportation fuels can be used by anyone right now in
their existing vehicles without modification. We have made these
fuels available at a typical gas station at a competitive price,
and they out-perform their petroleum-only counterparts. Best of
all, no wars need be fought and no drilling in sensitive environmental
areas is required to obtain them. Plus, when you purchase biofuels,
you're supporting American farmers and keeping your dollars in the
U.S.A."
Anyone
can fill up at the triple-fuel pump and reduce their consumption
of petroleum fuels by at least 10% to 20%.
